// FOR AMAZON SELLERS

Amazon cut the title to 75 characters. Did your last listing catch up?

Amazon's own rules changed in July 2026. Rightlisted writes to the current limits, not the ones from before.

What gets checked

Title at 75 characters or under, item highlight at 125, exactly 5 bullets each between 10 and 255 characters, description at 2,000 or under, backend search terms at 249 bytes or under, no banned promotional words, nothing wasted in the backend that's already in the title. Eight rules, run on every listing before it's handed back.

What it's built from

Your photos and a plain description of the product. Rightlisted researches how Amazon buyers actually search for that kind of item, then writes the title, bullets and backend terms around that gap — separately for Amazon US and Amazon DE.

The July 2026 title change
Amazon cut titles from 200 characters to 75 and added the 125-character Item Highlight field. Listings written before the change and never revisited are running on the old rule — Rightlisted writes to the current one.
The grounding guarantee
Rightlisted cannot state a claim — a certification, a material, a country of origin — that you didn't provide in the product details.
One listing, more than Amazon
The same photos and details also generate Etsy, eBay, Walmart, TikTok Shop, Shopify, Pinterest and Instagram versions, each checked against that platform's own rules.
Check a listing you already wrote
The free Listing Grader checks a pasted draft against the same platform rules — no signup, no credit spent.
