Do I need an EU responsible person to sell into the EU?

Yes, if the products you send to the EU fall inside this stream. Registration goes to General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988 — enforced by national market surveillance authorities. Etsy: “Under the GPSR, products can’t be placed on the EU market unless they have an EU-based economic operator responsible for key safety tasks.” A manufacturer based outside the EU “may appoint a Responsible Person (such as an Authorized Representative) for your products in the EU”. You will be asked for: EU-based economic operator (name, address and contact details).
